About Forum Privacy

Privacy is extremely important on the Off Camera forum. Ultimately our work and safety as performers depend on it.

To elaborate on the privacy practices we use on the forum:

Firstly, the administration screens every member who signs up by having them fill out an application before their membership is accepted. This is the only time someone’s specific information is requested and it will never be used on the forum.

Once on the forum they may set up their profile and screen name however they want, with as much or as little info as they like.

Members can also request a second profile which can be left completely anonymous for their more controversial posts.

In the FAQ section of the forum, we also discuss not giving away too many specifics about a particular situation if they are fearful of someone discovering their identity.

All of the members so far, have felt safe to post under their real names, but the option exists for them to receive an anonymous profile to post under anytime.

Welcome to the Off Camera Blog

The objective of the private Off Camera forum is to provide a place for those working in erotic media and porn to come together, share stories, and offer professional support to one another.

The adult industry is a mixed bad of great people, down to earth professionals, as well as outright sexual predators and manipulators. Performers in the industry are usually discouraged professionally from talking about the negative experiences they have with certain people and companies in this industry.

This creates an environment where the same perpetrators continue to take advantage of models or treat them poorly with very little repercussion for their actions. Our human rights are seriously undercut when we allow companies to intimidate us out of our freedom of speech.

However, the need for privacy is imperative because ultimately our paychecks and safety rely on it. This is why our discussion forum remains private to adult industry performers only.

At the same time, its important to let others know about the issues that face adult performers. So we will periodically be posting updates on this public blog, summarizing some of the general topics discussed on the private forum.

Please continue to stop by and check out what’s going on in our community.
